Google Interview Warmup alternative: how MockRun compares
When we checked on 26 October 2026, Interview Warmup no longer opened: Google’s page for it redirects, and the practice link on Google’s archived copy of that page returns “Page not found.” Interview Warmup is a practice tool from Grow with Google, announced in June 2022. Google’s archived page says it “helps you become familiar with key questions, refine your answers, and get more comfortable with the interview process.” You spoke your answers, it transcribed them, and it showed insights on each one.

Interview Warmup’s column comes from Google’s own pages, read on 26 October 2026: the archived Interview Warmup page (Google’s copy of 19 June 2026), its practice link (Page not found), the tool’s address (redirects) and the June 2022 announcement. MockRun’s column comes from this site.
What Interview Warmup did well
- Practice without pressure: its archived page calls it “a judgment-free zone for anyone who wants a little practice interviewing.”
- Privacy: “We don't save your audio or the transcripts of your answers,” the archived page says.
- Open to anyone: Google designed it for its Career Certificate learners, and the archived page says it is “available for anyone to use.”
- Questions from people: Google’s archived page says AI isn’t used to generate its questions, “all of which have been created by industry experts.”
When MockRun fits better
If you want to practice answers out loud now, MockRun is a different kind of practice: one behavioral question at a time, with follow-ups. It fits when:
- You want to practice saying your answers: a live spoken conversation, one behavioral question at a time, with typing if you prefer.
- You want follow-up questions that probe how you acted: what you did yourself and how, then why you chose that approach or what changed.
- You want a written review of each question that quotes your answer and names one thing to practice next.
- You want one framework for any behavioral interview. Questions are grouped by Amazon’s Leadership Principles, one of the most complete public lists of what these questions look for.
- You want practice shaped by hiring experience. MockRun is built by a former AWS hiring manager.
