Your practice, your choice.
MockRun uses your answers to run the interview and give you feedback. Your practice is private to your signed-in account.
Speaking and saving audio are separate choices
When you use voice practice, your microphone audio is sent to OpenAI to run the conversation and produce a transcript. MockRun saves a replay only when you turn on “Save audio” for that practice. The replay includes your voice and the AI interviewer. You can stop saving audio while continuing the interview.
What stays available, and for how long
- Saved audio: 30 days after the practice ends.
- Your transcript and written feedback: 12 months after the practice ends.
- Unfinished audio uploads: up to 24 hours to recover an interrupted upload. Audio that cannot be recovered is removed.
These periods start when the practice ends on our server. An abandoned practice ends when its practice window closes. Listening again, retrying feedback, or buying a pack does not extend the dates. Older practices created before this policy keep their existing availability.
Download or delete your work
Open a practice from your account to download its audio, transcript and feedback. “Delete audio only” keeps the written work. “Delete this practice” removes all three. Access stops immediately when you delete something or it expires; removal from storage runs in the background and retries if a storage service is unavailable.
Deleting your account removes your saved practices. Purchase records and limited usage records are kept separately for billing and service operation. Practice deletion does not cancel a purchase or expire unused question credits. Comparison notes saved in your browser can be cleared with the practice or your browser’s site data.
Services used for your practice
OpenAI processes the conversation and feedback. Cloudflare hosts MockRun and its private practice storage. Clerk handles sign-in, and Paddle handles purchases. Their processing and retention policies also apply to data sent to those services; MockRun’s replay expiry controls the copy stored by MockRun.
