About MockRun
Practice your interview answers out loud. An AI interviewer asks about what you said, then gives written feedback on what to improve.
What MockRun is
MockRun is an AI mock interviewer for behavioral interviews: the “Tell me about a time…” questions. You answer out loud, or type if you prefer. The interviewer asks follow-up questions about what you actually said, one at a time. Then you get written feedback that quotes your words and names one thing to practice next.
- Follow-ups ask what you did yourself and how, if your story doesn’t make that clear, then why you chose that approach or what changed.
- In guided practice, a short guide beside your answer shows how to structure it, with an example.
- You can try a question again and compare both answers.
Who builds it
MockRun is built by a former AWS hiring manager with extensive experience interviewing candidates. MockRun follows up on the details a hiring manager listens for, and its feedback says what your story showed and what to show next time.
It’s a practice tool, not a real interview. The feedback comes from AI, so it can be wrong, and no practice can promise an interview result.
Independent
MockRun is an independent practice tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple or Netflix. Company names are used only to describe the interviews you can practice for.
Questions are grouped by Amazon’s Leadership Principles, one of the most complete public lists of what these questions look for. Use them to practice for interviews at Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple or Netflix, or any company that asks behavioral questions. The founder worked at AWS, but Amazon and AWS don’t endorse MockRun.
